Eve Chalom (born October 22, 1979 in Detroit, Michigan) was an American figure skater. She twice won the silver medals in ice dance at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships[1] with Mathew Gates. Chalom is almost entirely deaf, having lost most of her hearing in both ears after a childhood accident. She received bachelor degrees from the University of Michigan[2] in English and Philosophy. Chalom currently resides in New York City where she works as a modern dancer. In addition, she teaches figure skating part-time.
